Time is running out for graduate employers to take part in Real Prospects 2009 : 14 April 2009

A restructure of the UK’s official graduate careers website, prospects.ac.uk has generated a record month for traffic with over one million views on its job pages.

In March 2009 the jobs pages of prospects.ac.uk received almost 1.1 million page impressions, representing a monthly increase of 37% and almost 40% year-on-year. The growth is directly attributable to the revision of the job search facility and improvements across the site.

Employers, careers advisors and students took part in a review of the market leading website, which led to a redevelopment that includes improved job visibility and additional advertising opportunities as well as better defined market sectors and regions. It has created a recruitment hub for businesses to raise their profile and advertise vacancies to students and graduates

Allan Brown, director of sales at Graduate Prospects explains: “The site provides a series of fresh features, including 21 new work sectors so recruiters can be more targeted with their campaigns. A revised job search facility has ensured graduates can find their dream job much easier. There are also additional advertising positions available with the option to include video content. We’ve taken a totally integrated approach throughout the site, providing a central point for marketing and recruiting to this hard-to-reach niche audience.”

  • Key new features on prospects.ac.uk include:
  • Wide variety of sector information
  • Redefined regions, which are more visible and standardised
